Community conduct#
Pocket should be a useful place for musicians and contributors with different instruments, genres, backgrounds and levels of technical experience.
Be direct about the work and respectful toward people. Explain criticism with examples. Welcome questions, credit others' work, respect recording and software rights, and accept that musical preferences can differ without someone being wrong.
Harassment, discriminatory abuse, threats, sexual harassment, doxxing, publishing private material without consent and persistent unwanted contact are not acceptable. These expectations apply to project issues, pull requests, discussions and other project spaces. They also apply when representing the project publicly.
Report a concern#
For sensitive conduct concerns, email ryan@ryanpalermo.dev. Include the relevant links and the minimum context needed; do not publish private contact details or recordings in a public issue. Security vulnerabilities have a separate private reporting route.
Ryan Palermo maintains the project and handles reports. Reports are treated as private and shared only as needed to assess and address the concern. Do not include secrets or unnecessary sensitive material. This is a small project without a guaranteed response time or independent appeal panel.
Depending on severity and context, the maintainer may ask for a correction, remove content, restrict participation or ban an account. Serious abuse may warrant immediate removal. Decisions should be proportionate and communicated to the affected person when safe and practical. To request reconsideration, use the same private email with new context.
